DMax Assistant™

Technology Description
A collection of software tools that help researchers to extract hypotheses from scientific data and domain specific background knowledge.

The formulation of hypotheses is — together with the collection of observations — a key step in the scientific method. Much like screening technology helps researchers to observe efficiently, the DMax Assistant™ tools help researchers to formulate hypotheses efficiently.

Features

maximal traceability and transparency:
Hypotheses are presented in natural language with elucidative diagrams, they’re not just black boxes. Statistical validations and and supporting data are always accessible.
maximal use of data:
Components of background knowledge are dynamically combined to find the best patterns using a technology called “relational data mining” (no need to predefine an exhaustive list descriptors)
virtual screening:
Generated reports can be used to prioritize large (unscreened) data collections; also this step is fully transparent as for each example in the ranking, a full list of reasons (incl. similar reference data from the screened data set) for its position is provided.
maximal reliability:
The reliability of hypotheses is systematically assessed via statistics on a test set. You have ubiquitous access to the supporting evidence. Hypotheses are understandable and thus verifiable because they are formulated in the language of the expert.
