What (not)?

The DMax Assistant™ product family is a collection of software tools that help researchers to extract hypotheses from scientific data and domain specific background knowledge.

The formulation of hypotheses is -together with the collection of observations- a key step in the scientific method. Much like screening technology helps researchers to observe efficiently, the DMax Assistant™ tools help researchers to formulate hypotheses efficiently.

What not? Like any other pattern finding tools, the DMax Assistant™ tools detect correlations and are not able to distinguish between correlation and causation. The tools will detect relationships between measurements and the objects measured that are real in the sense that they are supported by frequency counts performed on the data.
